Nickel batteries

This is one of the most powerful forms of laptop battery to date. This is the kind of battery for hp laptop that lasts for many years without any problems. Also known as a nickel battery, this type of battery can withstand up to 500 charge and discharge cycles. 

Nickel batteries are extremely durable and have the exceptional ability to withstand even the highest currents. Over time, nickel batteries have been split into two versions, namely Ni-Cd and Ni-Mh batteries. 

Li-Ion batteries

Categorized in the lithium family, this is the most popular type of battery. It is now found in the vast majority of laptops. Unlike nickel batteries, Li-Ion batteries are lighter and more durable. Since their introduction in the 1990s, Li-Ion batteries have really taken off. However, it is important to note that this type of battery is slightly more expensive. So you have to pay a lot of money. 

Li-polymer batteries

This is a variant of lithium batteries. It is currently the most efficient type of laptop battery. However, many observers consider it to be an item for the privileged. The price is very high in contrast to many other competitors. 

Large specialist companies such as Lenovo, Acer, Dell and Sony still have doubts about the safety and economy of this type of battery. Although Li-polymer batteries are very efficient, they are said to contain elements that are hazardous to health.
